The K.I.D.S. (Keeping Innocence Defending Safety) Foundation is presenting the public with an opportunity to run, walk or take a stroller stroll for child protection in the Jessica Marie Lunsford Run. Registration for this fundraising event can be completed on-line at www.defendinginnocence.org or by calling (813) 727-0786. The one-mile run will begin from the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, April 1st. On-line registration closes at 9:00 p.m., Pacific Time on March 30th. Registration is $25.00 the day of the race. Pledges are encouraged. All proceeds will go to helping children. Founded by Kecia Richardson of Brandon in 2005, K.I.D.S Foundation’s mission is to assist in the fight to preserve children’s innocence and defend their right to be safe. Door prizes, a safety fair, child identity card and fingerprinting, face painting, music and clowns, and other entertainment will be featured.
